Documentary Process
Concept Development and Research:
The idea for the documentary is generated and a story is identified, Initial research is also undertaken to access the feasibility of the documentary.
Pre-Production:
We begin the pre production process with extensive research involving experts in their respective fields, Location sourcing is undertaken to find suitable locations that add to the narrative. Crew are assembled along with the required equipment including cameras, lighting sound and editing style finalised. The script is developed that outlines the documentaries narrative structure, key scenes and interviews if required.
Production (Filming):
Our production team gets to work on filming which includes a variety of shots, from Interviews to B-Roll footage. We manage the filming schedule along with the required equipment on site.
Post Production:
The post production process comprises of many aspects from organisation of footage and through to a rough cut edit. The editing process is then refined to ensure a smooth finish and the final edit is satisfactory to our clients requirements. Animation and graphics can be added per clients requirements along with relevant soundtracks.
Distribution:
Once complete the documentary is distributed through the chosen channels, ie television, film festivals, marketing and promotion, community screenings.
